Liposuction (Liposculpture)
Liposuction is a surgical procedure that removes fat from a specific area of the body.
There are a number of misconceptions about liposuction. Sometimes also referred to as liposculpture, this is a procedure to reshape tissues rather than being one to primarily remove tissues. Of course there are always exceptions, but using this technique to refine an already existing shape is the best use of this surgical procedure. Plastic surgeons will often use liposuction in conjunction with other body contouring procedures such as breast reduction, breast lift and abdominoplasty.
