Dr Alex Cameron is a fully qualified Specialist Plastic and Reconstructive Surgeon, having completed his training with the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons. (FRACS)
Dr Cameron attended medical school at Melbourne University, after completing his schooling in Adelaide. He returned to Adelaide to undertake basic surgical training at the Royal Adelaide Hospital before being accepted into advanced training in Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery.
He has completed training in all facets of Plastic Surgery including hand surgery, microsurgery, head and neck surgery, breast reconstruction, and aesthetic surgery.
As part of his training Dr Cameron completed a PhD investigating a novel treatment for hypertrophic scarring. He has been the recipient of a number scholarships and awards for his research, including the RACS WG Norman Trauma Fellowship, the RACS Sir John Loewenthal Fellowship and an NHMRC post-graduate scholarship
